Job Description

Responsibilities :
Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds at the MCBH facility. Performs basic carpenter, electrical, plumbing, HVAC skills to maintain the facility. Performs record keeping maintaining written records for compliance with the Department of Health, JCC and other regulatory agencies. Perform regular scheduled preventive maintenance checks, environmental safety rounds, assess general condition of the facility and make recommendations for improvements or repairs. Perform and document regularly scheduled Drills and provide input on After-Action reports. Maintain annual tuberculosis screening, Hepatitis B, and all other annual requirements. Follow all policies and procedures that affect the Environment of Care. Attend regularly scheduled in-service training. Attend and participate in the EC and IC Committee monthly meetings. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (college or vocational training preferred). Dependable and detailed oriented. Able to organize and execute work independently. Proactive problem solver. Flexible to meet changing requirements. Service oriented. Experience working in maintenance or related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills (well versed in using computers and different technologies). Ability to use an assortment of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions. Ability to work under various working conditions (i.e. bend, stoop, lift, and stand for eight hours). Requires ability to perform heaving lifting (at least 80 lbs.) when necessary. Must have a valid Arkansas driver's license and be insurable. Flu vaccination is mandatory and required for all positions (subject only to qualified exemptions).
