Here's an exciting contract opportunity to inspire and empower young learners in specialized K-6 classrooms. Multiple positions are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to support the 2026-2027 academic year. Located in a vibrant community near Springdale, AR, this role offers a chance to foster growth and achievement among diverse learners.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain in Arkansas) Experience working with K-6 students in a resource, inclusion, or self-contained setting preferred Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills Ability to develop comprehensive IEPs and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Enthusiasm for adapting curriculum and applying innovative teaching strategies Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead instruction for students in K-6 special education classrooms, tailoring lessons to individual needs Implement and modify curricula to align with IEP goals and state standards Monitor student progress, providing ongoing assessment and documentation Provide a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education staff Regularly engage with families to support students' academic and social development
