What We're Looking For:
Valid Arkansas Special Education Teacher credentials Previous experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress monitoring Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Demonstrated work ethic, positivity, and a growth-oriented mindset Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators Strong communication and organizational skills Reliability in fulfilling all general duties of a Special Education Teacher Experience designing and implementing behavior supports is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and modify IEPs for students according to their unique academic and behavioral needs Deliver differentiated instruction in either a self-contained classroom or resource role Assess student progress, document outcomes, and adjust teaching methods as needed Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student integration Maintain regular communication with families regarding goals, progress, and strategies Support students' social-emotional growth and independence Participate in school-based professional development and team meetings If you possess strong instructional skills and are passionate about helping K-12 students reach their fullest potential, this position allows you to put your talents to work in a supportive and rewarding environment.
