Monday - Friday 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
Job Summary:
We are looking for dedicated Special Education Self-Contained Teacher in Glendale, AZ with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for adolescents, communicating with other team members and maintaining accurate records.
Duties:
Develop and implement IEPs, track student progress, and attend IEP meetings. Provide specialized instruction and behavior support to students with special needs. Conduct assessments and modify instruction based on student needs. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure student success. Maintain compliance with IDEA, FAPE, and district/state documentation requirements. Manage a structured classroom environment that supports student learning and safety.
Job Requirements:
Valid Arizona Department of Education teaching certification appropriate for the position. Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with students with behavioral challenges preferred.
