This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who is committed to creating an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for young learners with diverse developmental needs. Working collaboratively with families, support staff, and educational teams, the Special Education Teacher will help students build foundational academic, social, behavioral, and communication skills that support long-term success both in and out of the classroom. Key Responsibilities + Develop and implement individualized educational programs aligned with student IEP goals. + Provide specialized instruction to students with developmental and learning needs. + Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families. + Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records. + Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions. + Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs. + Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. + Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and district regulations. Qualifications Minimum Requirements + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred. + Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations. + Special Education Teaching Certification required. + Early Childhood Special Education Certification required for this assignment. + Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred. + Current CPR certification, if applicable. + TB questionnaire, PPD , or chest X-ray, if applicable. + Current health certificate, if required. + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements. + Must be at least 18 years of age. + Compliance with all professional standards of practice.
