Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a supportive school district seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for multiple full-time contract opportunities located in Maricopa, Arizona for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions provide the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs in self-contained classroom environments and developmental preschool programs. We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to creating engaging learning experiences and helping students achieve academic, developmental, and social success.
Open Positions:
Self-Contained Special Education Teacher Elementary school setting Multiple openings available One position at a new K-8 school One position at an elementary school campus Full-time, in-person instruction Developmental Preschool Teacher Preschool special education setting Full-time, in-person instruction Focus on supporting young learners with developmental and educational needs Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide specialized instruction based on student needs and educational goals Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to support student success Collaborate with families, administrators, therapists, and support staff Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation Conduct assessments and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavioral supports as needed Foster academic, social, communication, and functional skill development
Contract Details:
Pay:
$48 to $52 an hour | Full-time contract assignment School year dates: August 2026 through May 27, 2027 Multiple openings available Required Qualifications - Self-Contained Special Education Teacher Active Arizona Special Education certification/licensure Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Ability to work effectively in a self-contained classroom setting Experience developing and implementing IEPs Strong communication and collaboration skills Required Qualifications - Developmental Preschool Teacher Active Arizona Special Education certification/licensure Active Arizona Early Childhood Education certification Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Experience working with early childhood and special education populations preferred Strong understanding of child development and early intervention strategies At SHC Education, we believe in helping students thrive and that starts with helping you succeed.
