Exciting full-time contract opportunity available for a skilled educator passionate about making a difference in high school math classrooms. This role will be pivotal in co-teaching math within a special education setting, collaborating to serve diverse learners in an engaging, supportive environment. The assignment covers the entire academic year, from August through late May, offering stability and the satisfaction of meaningful impact.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License Valid Special Education (SPED) Certification for Arizona Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Demonstrated experience teaching math in a special education environment Strong collaboration and communication skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and equitable classroom experience
Key Responsibilities:
Co-teach assigned high school math classes alongside the general education teacher Develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies meeting the varied needs of all learners Modify curriculum and provide accommodations as outlined in students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and families to monitor and promote student success Participate in IEP meetings, maintain thorough records, and communicate progress with stakeholders Cultivate a safe, proactive classroom environment that supports academic achievement and personal growth Why consider this contract position?
