In this role, you'll help create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students with diverse learning needs can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You'll work closely with students, families, and support staff to provide individualized instruction and meaningful support for students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, behavioral needs, and other learning differences. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact while being part of a collaborative and student-focused team. Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on each student's strengths, needs, and goals Create engaging lessons in subjects such as reading, writing, math, and social skills that meet students at their instructional level Adapt classroom materials and teaching strategies to support a wide range of learning styles and abilities Support positive student behavior using effective classroom management and behavior intervention strategies Monitor student progress through assessments, data collection, and ongoing observation Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and families to support student success Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment where students feel supported and valued Provide individualized support and small-group instruction to help students build academic and social-emotional skills Maintain accurate documentation related to IEP goals, progress reports, and student performance Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing collaboration to strengthen instructional practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required; Master's degree preferred Valid Special Education teaching credential/license in the applicable state Experience working with students with disabilities in a classroom or school-based setting Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance processes Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with staff, families, and support teams Knowledge of behavior management strategies and differentiated instruction techniques Experience supporting students with autism, behavioral needs, or developmental disabilities is preferred Passion for helping students grow both academically and socially Why Join Us?
