Special Education Teacher in Phoenix, AZ Soliant - 3.9 Phoenix, AZ Job Details Full-time | Contract 12 hours ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Working with students Classroom experience Working with students with special education needs Special Education Certification Teaching Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity making a meaningful impact in the classroom as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students across several high school campuses throughout the greater Phoenix area. Full-time contract positions are available, beginning in late July and extending through May 2027, with openings in a variety of programs including Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT, and STRIVE. These roles are best suited for educators within a 30-minute commute of designated locations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License and current K-12 Special Education Certificate required Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Background in working with students with emotional disabilities or other special education eligibility areas Familiarity with supporting students who are at-risk, limited English proficient, ethnic minorities, or have exceptional needs Demonstrated understanding of federal, state, and district special services compliance and documentation Experience planning and implementing IEPs and related classroom documentation Completion of Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training, or a willingness to participate in staff development
Responsibilities Include:
Delivering engaging, individualized instruction—onsite only Managing caseloads of varying sizes and needs, tailored to the assigned program Collaborating with general educators, support staff, and families to promote student growth and self-regulatory skills Implementing inclusive, prosocial classroom strategies to support diverse learners Maintaining accurate educational records and participating in required professional development This position offers a fulfilling way to contribute to student success while growing your special education expertise in a supportive environment.
