Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting serving K-5 students in a self-contained classroom. Take the lead in supporting approximately 12 students, collaborating closely with a team of five dedicated paraprofessionals to deliver personalized instruction and positive behavioral supports. This full-time contract opportunity enables you to foster growth, inclusion, and confidence for each student, leveraging your expertise and creativity.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Arizona (or eligibility for reciprocal certification) Experience in a self-contained classroom, preferably with K-5 students Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Skilled in collaborating with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families Familiarity with evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to create a supportive, engaging, and safe learning environment
