Job Description

Embark on a contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher in Arizona, where you'll support students' diverse learning needs in a collaborative and welcoming environment. Multiple positions are available for the upcoming school year, with openings in both middle and elementary schools. You'll work on-site Mondays through Thursdays, from 7:30am to 4:00pm, totaling 36 hours per week—allowing you to enjoy Fridays off for enhanced work/life balance. Middle school roles (grades 6-8) include both resource and self-contained settings, while elementary positions (grades K-5) feature two self-contained teacher posts, including one short-term (2 months). District support and a team-oriented culture will help you thrive in your role. These positions offer hourly compensation between $35-41.
Required qualifications:
Active Arizona teaching certification with IVP card Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher (resource or self-contained settings) Familiarity with IEP processes and classroom differentiation Skill in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting families Strong communication and classroom management abilities Commitment to on-site instruction Responsibilities will include: Delivering individualized instruction and modifying curriculum to meet student IEP goals Managing IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and data collection Collaborating with general education staff and related service providers Fostering an inclusive, positive classroom climate Communicating regularly with families and support staff You'll enjoy comprehensive healthcare insurance and a schedule that promotes a healthy work/life balance—with Fridays off for personal time or adventure.
