What they do

A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

What You'll Do:
Offer compassionate, non-medical in-home care tailored to children and adults with developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome and Autism. Plan and participate in activities that are suitable for the individual's age and abilities, enriching their daily experiences and enhancing their overall quality of life. Assist with requested essential daily living tasks including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and ensuring the individual's comfort and well-being. Prioritize safety by providing reassurance and peace of mind to families while entrusting us with their loved ones. Above all, foster a positive and enjoyable environment where both you and the individual you care for can have fun and build meaningful connections.
What We're Looking For:
Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Authorized to work legally in the United States. Willing to undergo a comprehensive background check. Demonstrate alignment with our core values of respect, honesty, and kindness. Bilingual skills are encouraged but not required.
