SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate, Extensive Support Needs, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
- Demonstrated exemplary teaching ability including, but not limited to, effective communication skills, subject matter knowledge, and mastery of a range of teaching strategies which meet the needs of students in different contexts
- Demonstrated expertise in IEP development and compliance
- Ability to Pass DOJ Background/Fingerprint Check
- Tuberculosis Clearance
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience providing professional development or instructional coaching.
- Strong knowledge of California special education regulations.
- Experience with inclusive practices and co-teaching models.
SALARY:
Placement on Certificated Salary Schedule ($63,632
- $104,355) 15 years creditable experience may be accepted Master's Degree
- 2% on base annual salary Doctorate Degree
- additional 2% on base annual salary National Board Certification
- additional $1,000 Based on 190 workdays
