Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students requiring braille and Nemeth instruction for the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized, impactful services within a collaborative and student-focused educational environment.

Students requiring braille and Nemeth instruction

Setting:

In-person services required

Pay Rate:

$42-$47 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction in braille and Nemeth code
• Adapt and modify instructional materials to ensure accessibility
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and related service providers
• Support students in accessing curriculum and developing independent learning skills
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with educational guidelines

Requirements:

• Active certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) required
• Experience with braille and Nemeth instruction required
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
