Desired Experience and Skills:

Prior experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in special education support preferred Familiarity with classroom management techniques and student behavioral interventions Positive, patient, and adaptable attitude Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of paraprofessional certification or related coursework a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers with classroom instruction and individualized student assistance Provide one-on-one or small group academic guidance under teacher supervision Assist with classroom organization, setup, and materials preparation Foster a safe and encouraging learning atmosphere for all students Offer support for students with diverse learning needs, including those with behavioral or cognitive challenges Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and personal information Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning as needed
