Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Shape young lives and make a difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity begins August 2026 and is ideally suited for passionate educators eager to develop individualized learning strategies and foster inclusion for students with diverse needs. As a permanent placement role, you'll become a valued member of the educational community, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote student success across multiple grade levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching license in Special Education Demonstrated experience working with students with disabilities (mild, moderate, and/or severe) Knowledge of IEP processes, assessments, and instructional planning Strong communication skills for partnering with families, staff, and support personnel Flexibility in adapting curriculum and teaching techniques to a variety of learning styles Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs Deliver engaging lessons to students from kindergarten through 12th grade in both inclusive and specialized settings Track student growth, document progress, and submit required reports Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and administrators to ensure coordinated supports Foster a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and parent meetings In addition to the rewarding nature of making an impact in students' lives, a $10,000 incentive is available for each licensed Special Education Teacher placed.
