Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Direct Hire Make a lasting impact in the lives of students as a Special Education teacher in an inspiring school community near the scenic coast of Half Moon Bay, CA. This direct hire opportunity runs from August 13th, when students arrive, through June 4, 2027, giving you the chance to foster growth and support year after year. We are seeking dedicated individuals for multiple roles: Special Day Class (SDC) Teachers (2 positions) 40 hours per week in structured classroom environments. Requires a valid California Teaching License, Moderate/Severe Credentials, and Autism Authorization. Work closely with students with significant learning and behavioral needs. Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Teachers (2 positions) 40 hours per week providing targeted interventions. Must hold a California Teaching License and Mild/Moderate Credentials. Support students within general education through tailored special education services. Both classroom types are reinforced by paraprofessional support at a 3-to-1 student ratio, ensuring ample assistance and collaboration in meeting students' individualized needs.

Qualifications:

Active California Teaching License (as specified by role). Relevant Special Education credentials. Experience or training in crafting IEPs, differentiating instruction, and adapting curriculum for diverse learners. Strong communication skills to foster partnerships with families and multidisciplinary teams.
