This is a tutoring role focused on helping students build confidence and skills in core academic areas. We're looking for someone patient, reliable, and loves kids — someone who shows up consistently and brings warmth to every session. For this role you need experience working with kids, comfort adapting your approach when a student is having a hard day, and a real interest in supporting students who learn differently. All tutors receive paid training in our instructional curriculum and session structure.

Schedule Monday-Thursday:

2:00 PM - 6:30 PM.

Saturdays:

9:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Schedule is built around your availability across these shifts — not all shifts are required. In-person attendance at the assigned campus is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide in-person, one-on-one academic instruction to special education students using our curriculum and session materials. Follow established session plans; adapt your approach to each student's level, mood, and learning needs. Build trust and rapport with students so they show up ready to learn. Stay patient and consistent when students get frustrated, distracted, or off-task. Document session notes accurately and communicate with center staff about progress and concerns. Maintain a professional image and courteous demeanor with students, families, and team. Required Qualifications Experience working with children in an educational, tutoring, mentoring, or caregiving setting (paid or substantial volunteer experience). A genuine love for working with kids and patience for the harder moments. Interest in or comfort with supporting special education students — students with ADHD, autism, executive functioning challenges, learning differences, or other special needs. Comfortable with academic instruction at the K-12 level. Reliable communication and follow-through. Ability to commute to the assigned campus (in-person required). Cleared background check. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with special education students or students with ADHD, executive functioning needs, or learning differences. Tutoring, teaching, or classroom-aide experience. Bachelor's degree (or currently enrolled). Comfort using behavior-informed strategies (timers, visual schedules, token boards).
