Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Resource Specialist Program (RSP) support. This contract opportunity in the San Mateo area offers a chance to provide essential services to learners while collaborating closely with fellow educators and support staff.
Key Qualifications:
Active California mild/moderate credential required (verification with CTC screenshot needed upon application) Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, particularly within RSP settings Proven ability to adapt instruction to individual student needs and IEP goals Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide RSP instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs, following designated IEP objectives Design, implement, and adjust lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to student progress, attendance, and goals Communicate regularly with parents, fellow educators, and school administration to ensure alignment and student success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of education plans as needed Foster a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere focused on student growth and achievement
