A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

We have following requirement:
Full time SPED Teacher requirement (Full Time)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Meet each student's learning requirements and build individual lesson plans to their specific needs.
  • You will also discuss with parents and support staff to meet students' progress.
  • Adapt learning materials to students' needs, ability to create IEPs
  • Keep track of and reflect on students' progress
  • Monitor children's behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
  • Prepare students for the transition to the next grade
  • Coach/mentor other professionals who work with children with disabilities
  • Collaborate with the support staff
  • All other duties related to the program.
Requirements:
Valid CA state SPED Teacher License 1+ years of working experience as a
Special Education Teacher Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree Note:
