Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of young learners by supporting elementary students with mild to moderate needs for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract special education opportunity is full-time, covering 37.5 hours per week in an onsite setting. You'll deliver tailored instruction and interventions, working closely with elementary-aged students and collaborating with a dedicated educational team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching Credential required Experience with elementary-aged students preferred Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications in classroom settings Track, assess, and report students' progress toward learning goals Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success Create a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment Participate in relevant meetings, professional development, and trainings as required
