Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the life of an elementary student by providing dedicated support as an ASL Paraprofessional. This contract opportunity is tailored for compassionate professionals fluent in American Sign Language who thrive in a collaborative educational setting. The role focuses on assisting a young male student at the elementary level, located in the Marysville, CA area, with a commitment of 32 hours per week.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required. Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar student-support role is highly valued. Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude when assisting students with varying learning needs. Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, specialists, and school staff. No EIPA certification necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct one-on-one support to an elementary student, facilitating communication and learning through ASL. Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the student's understanding and participation. Help implement educational accommodations as outlined by the educational team. Monitor and encourage social interaction and independent learning within the classroom setting. Document and communicate student progress and any concerns to educators and relevant professionals.
