Veterinary Client Care Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a busy veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for both clients and their beloved animals. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for animal care, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing excellent customer service. Schedule appointments and manage electronic appointments effectively. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Maintain accurate patient records and update client information as needed. Assist veterinary technicians with animal restraint and handling during examinations. Process payments and manage front desk operations smoothly. Communicate staff instructions to clients effectivley. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room. Familiarize yourself with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with staff and clients. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is mandatory. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology is highly desirable. Skills in animal handling, restraint, and care are essential for this role. Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients. Proficiency in front desk operations including scheduling software is beneficial. A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners is crucial for success in this role.
