As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in this full-time, 6-hour-per-day role, you will function itinerantly, working mainly in a consultative capacity with opportunities to provide direct instruction in braille. Key Qualifications:
Valid credential/certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Experience or training in providing services to visually impaired students Proficiency in braille instruction preferred Strong communication and consultative skills Flexibility to travel between school sites as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver consultative services to students and staff regarding visual impairment needs and accommodations Provide direct instruction in braille and adaptive technology, as required Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in meetings Maintain accurate student records and progress updates
