Our work environment includes:
Professional childcare facility Tech-forward childcare Professionally cleaned facility As a teacher's aid you will : Assist the lead teacher with curriculum development and implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and creative environment where children can grow and learn. Assist with behavior management and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Support classroom management by assisting with transitions, routines, and organization. Follow schedules and provide structure and routine for the classes you assist. Partner with teachers and parents to provide essential communications, share milestones, and work as a team to nurture a safe learning environment. Support childhood development through age-appropriate activities and play. Obtain familiarity with literacy education strategies for young children. Obtain knowledge of childhood development milestones and appropriate interventions.
Qualifications :
Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. CPR and First Aid Certification. Physically able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Ability to work with children in both indoor or outdoor settings. Ability to act as a float between classrooms as needed to maintain teacher-student ratios. Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children. Ability to see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children in group settings. Must possess the ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents. Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, Ukrainian are highly encouraged to apply. Note • This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Vacation Time Education :
We follow the below requirements for education requirements for teacher's aid at our facility. All course work must be degree-applicable (associate degree or higher) and non-remedial. Complete six semester units of early childhood education or child development course work. •School-Age Emphasis under this option requires that three of the six semester units in early childhood education/child development be completed in school-age course work.
