Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher - Telehealth Job Type Contract A contract position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to serve students in Rancho Cordova, CA, for the 2026-2027 school year. This role supports students with visual impairments by providing both in-person and telehealth services, ensuring compliance with individualized education programs (IEPs).
Responsibilities include:
Providing direct vision services to students for 60 minutes approximately twice a week, in accordance with their IEP. Delivering a minimum of 60 minutes of monthly in-person vision services and conducting 180 minutes of yearly parent consultations. Conducting IEP meetings and other related meetings virtually to maximize service delivery time. Addressing an owed 500 minutes of compensatory services, extending support beyond standard IEP service times. Coordinating with parents, school staff, and other professionals to ensure effective program implementation.
Desired qualifications:
Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired with experience delivering telehealth and in-person services. Ability to manage flexible work arrangements, including onsite presence and virtual meeting facilitation. Strong communication skills to effectively conduct IEP meetings and collaborate with families and educational teams. Detail-oriented with the ability to track and provide compensatory services as required. This assignment offers some flexibility with virtual meeting opportunities and the potential to begin immediately for the current school year, continuing through summer to fully meet service requirements.
