Job Summary:
The Special Education Resource Teacher provides specialized instruction and case management for students with disabilities, ensuring equitable access to the general education curriculum through inclusive, data-driven, and student-centered practices. We are seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher who is ready to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact. This is not just a teaching role. You will support students while also helping design the systems, structures, and supports that define what excellent special education looks like at our school. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instruction & Student Support Provide direct instruction in small groups and 1:1 settings based on IEP goals Design and implement individualized interventions and accommodations Modify curriculum to support diverse learning needs Use progress monitoring and data to adjust instruction and drive student growth IEP Case Management & Compliance Serve as case manager for assigned students Develop, write, and implement legally compliant IEPs Monitor progress toward goals and communicate with families and staff Maintain accurate documentation in SEIS and meet all timelines Ensure compliance with IDEA, California Ed Code, and SELPA requirements Collaboration & Inclusive Practices Partner with general education teachers to support inclusive classrooms Co-plan and co-teach to ensure access to grade-level standards Requirements / Qualifications Copy of Transcript Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation Resume Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate Requirements / Qualifications Copy of Transcript Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation Resume Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate Links Related To This Job Website CalSTRS Links Not all postings qualify for CalSTRS.
