Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner to provide high-level wound care services in the Scottsdale area. This position is ideal for an NP who enjoys clinical independence but values the structured support of an expert Medical Director. As an independent contractor, you will manage a mobile patient panel, delivering everything from routine assessments to advanced tissue-based therapies.
Clinical Responsibilities Advanced Wound Management:
Diagnose and treat chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, and pressure injuries.
Procedures:
Perform conservative sharp debridement and apply advanced biologicals (CTPs/Skin Substitutes).
Clinical Oversight:
Participate in a collaborative peer-review model with our Medical Director to ensure adherence to best practices in advanced wound modalities.
Documentation:
Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) that meet Medicare's "Medical Necessity" standards for wound care procedures.
Required Qualifications & Credentials Licensure:
Current, unencumbered California license.
Medicare Enrollment:
Must have an active Individual NPI (Type 1) and be currently enrolled in Medicare (verified via PECOS).
Liability Insurance:
Must carry and maintain individual professional liability insurance (malpractice).
Recommended limits:
$1M per claim / $3M aggregate.
Experience:
Prior experience in wound care, dermatology, or vascular medicine is highly preferred.
Business Readiness:
As a 1099 contractor, you must be prepared to manage your own taxes and professional expenses.
Compensation & Terms Schedule:
Flexible, per-diem/contractor schedule based on patient volume in the region.
Compliance:
Must stay current on all California Board of Nursing requirements and Medicare Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) for wound care.
Pay:
From $95.00 per hour
