June 8th-June 26th An Impossible Science Summer Camp Teacher leads engaging, hands-on STEAM learning experiences for students in grades K-8. Using Impossible Science™ curriculum and the "Teach Like a Magician" method, Teachers inspire curiosity through interactive experiments exploring concepts such as Invisibility, Levitation, Animation, and Mind Control—all grounded in real science. Teachers are responsible for delivering daily lessons, managing classroom dynamics, and creating an environment where students feel excited to explore, question, and discover. Key Responsibilities Teach and facilitate daily Impossible Science™ camp curriculum to students (K-8) Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment Apply the "Teach Like a Magician" instructional method to engage students Manage classroom behavior and ensure student participation Prepare, set up, and clean up experiments and materials Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure smooth camp operations Communicate effectively with site staff and program leadership Core Responsibilities (All Roles) Represent Impossible Science with professionalism and enthusiasm Deliver engaging, curiosity-driven experiences rooted in STEAM Adapt to dynamic environments, schedules, and audience needs Support setup, breakdown, and operational logistics as needed Qualifications Required Experience working with elementary or middle school-aged students Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to lift and transport materials (up to ~30-50 lbs) Reliable transportation to assigned camp locations Preferred Background in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Mathematics (STEAM) Teaching credential or currently pursuing one (California preferred) Prior classroom teaching, camp, or informal education experience What We're Looking For Passion for STEAM education and inspiring curiosity Energetic, engaging, and confident presenting to groups of students Adaptable and comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on environments Creative mindset with a willingness to think "outside the box"Pay:
