Early Intervention Specialist in San Diego (Bilingual English/Spanish) MTR Child & Family Services - 5.0 San Diego, CA Job Details Full-time $26 - $32 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Flexible schedule Qualifications Spanish Early childhood education English Bachelor's degree Direct support Care plans Full Job Description We are seeking qualified and compassionate professionals who can adapt to the unique needs of each child and family. The ideal candidate will provide individualized intervention services designed to support children's development and enhance family engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement intervention services tailored to each child's strengths, needs, and preferences as outlined in their Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) . Support children in developing gross and fine motor skills, independence, cognitive abilities, social competence, and emotional growth . Assist parents in fostering effective parenting strategies that nurture their child's development. Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support children with disabilities. Receive training from a Behavior Specialist to implement evidence-based teaching methodologies, particularly for children with autism. Conduct structured teaching sessions in the child's home environment. Implement modifications to the child's home program as directed by the Behavior Specialist . Maintain accurate records by collecting daily data on program goals and interventions. Promote independence and equip children with the skills necessary for a successful and fulfilling life.
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children, preferably those with developmental disabilities. Background in early childhood education, psychology, special education, or a related field . Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with families and team members. Ability to adapt and implement individualized intervention strategies. Willingness to receive training and apply behavior intervention techniques. Reliable transportation to conduct in-home sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with children with disabilities or implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies . Bilingual skills are a plus.
