II. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Provides instruction and service for identified learning handicapped pupils who are assigned to the regular classroom for a majority of a school day. Instructional needs are based on the student's Individual Education Program (IEP) developed by the IEP team.I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides information and assistance to individuals with exceptional needs and to their parents. Provides consultation, resource information, and material regarding individuals with exceptional needs to their parents and to regular staff members. Coordinate the special education services with the regular school programs for each individual with exceptional needs enrolled in the Resource Specialist Program. Monitors pupil progress on a regular basis, participates in the review and revision of individualized education programs as appropriate, and refers pupils who do not indicate appropriate progress to the Individualized Education Program aide(s).SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND/OR RECEIVED
