Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract To Hire Embark on a rewarding opportunity to support elementary students as a Special Education Resource Teacher in schools near San Jose, CA. Two positions are now available for passionate educators committed to making a meaningful impact. Bring your expertise to these contract-to-hire roles and help shape a positive learning experience for children with mild to moderate needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching credential in California Experience working with elementary students in a resource or special education setting Strong classroom management and collaborative skills Ability to adapt instruction for students with diverse learning profiles Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Role Details and Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction and support as a Mild/Moderate Resource Teacher Position 1: Full-time (40 hours/week) serving two elementary schools; position starts October 5th and continues through the end of the school year Position 2: Part-time (1 day/8 hours per week) at one elementary school; immediate start through the end of the school year Implement specialized lesson plans to address students' individual learning goals Collaborate closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff Provide IEP case management including assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment encouraging student growth
