Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher by supporting students' growth and learning. This full-time contract opportunity in the San Mateo, CA area runs through November, providing you the chance to guide students as a Resource Specialist (RSP) during a leave of absence. Help create positive educational experiences and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential required (please include a screenshot of your CTC certification upon application) Experience or strong interest in working as a Resource Specialist (RSP) in a K-12 school setting Knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to tailor instruction to diverse learners' needs Strong classroom management skills and a collaborative attitude Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide specialized academic instruction and support as an RSP teacher Adapt curriculum and deliver targeted interventions to students with IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal requirements Support a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Engage with families and participate in IEP meetings as needed
