Until Filled Qualifications:
Valid California Teaching Credential in Special Education- Mild/Moderate
- Strong understanding and thorough knowledge of subject matter across curriculum
- Ability to work productively and enthusiastically with department members and on academic teams
- Experience working with English Learners
- Must have the desire and ability to work effectively with and to inspire at-risk teenagers in a culturally diverse, therapeutic behavioral, High School setting
- Must be collaborative, flexible, and committed to working as a team within a data-driven, professional learning community
- Must demonstrate ability in research-based instructional strategies, including differentiating curriculum, academic vocabulary, cooperative groups, and writing across the curriculum
CLAD/BCLAD/EL
authorization is required List any special qualifications you are looking for:- Experience with emotionally disturbed junior high or high school students
- Willingness and ability to work as part of a collaborative team to implement a school
- wide behavior program
- Candidates must be willing to participate in debrief meetings and activities/events outside of the classroom setting
- Willingness to implement and share interdisciplinary, organizational, and delivery activities for student learning and staff development
- Implement high school/junior high school core subject curriculum, with intent to facilitate a supportive student transition to college
- Utilize available resources, including technology to enhance teaching and support student learning
- Participate as a committee member in the accreditation process, if needed
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with all site stakeholders including Instructional Assistants and therapeutic staff
- Work collaboratively with therapeutic staff as a Case Manager overseeing student IEPs and ITPs
- Participate in various site-specific school related events including: Grad Night, Reward Trips, and/or CBI
- Willingness to serve as teacher-advisor in a minimum of one extra-curricular activity, if needed 2627-24 May 15, 2026
Salary:
Range:
$58,401- $103,472 annually for teachers new to the District, based on education and experience.
