The Teacher for the Visually Impaired provides students with appropriate learning experiences and activities designed to help them in social, intellectual, and emotional growth. The Teacher for the Visually Impaired organizes and implements an instructional program for visually impaired students. Enables students to develop competencies and skills to function in a successful and positive manner.
  • 40 hours a week 7:30am-4:30pm
Caseload:
Up to 18 students, Ages infant through 22
  • Classroom location: The position is itinerant, serving students in North County and Santa Ynez Valley. The base is the Farnel Santa Maria SBCEO office.
  • The position is part of a team of 2 other TVIs.
Start:
As soon as possible (after successful interview, reference checks and onboarding)
    End:
    June 2027 / end of school year. Also open to candidates who are only available for a portion of the assignment
    • $75/hr local or $3,279 weekly gross travel
