Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time contract opportunity is based in the scenic Sonora, CA area, and is an excellent match for passionate professionals who enjoy traveling and embracing new experiences. You'll be supporting students during the upcoming 26/27 school year as an important part of a collaborative and caring educational community.
Qualifications:
Valid CTC Certification in Moderate/Severe, ESN, or an equivalent credential (required) Previous experience with elementary-aged students and moderate to severe needs preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members, students, and families Adaptable and energetic, with an enthusiasm for meeting diverse learning needs Willingness to embrace opportunities for growth and professional development
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) Develop engaging lesson plans and materials that foster student growth and independence Assess student progress, maintain clear records, and adjust strategies as needed Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize learning outcomes Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment Advocate for students' academic and social needs within the school community This opportunity offers a highly competitive compensation package.
