A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Help students reach milestones that matter. Spindle is partnering with a forward-thinking school district in Fairfield , California to bring on a Special Education Teacher who's passionate about individualized learning and inclusive classrooms.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting students with diverse learning needs through tailored instruction and IEP-driven goals Creating a safe, engaging classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth Collaborating with families, general education teachers, and related service providers Using adaptive tools and evidence-based strategies to meet students where they are

1. 40% elementary - 2 days per week, max caseload 12, 7.25 hour day plus 30 minute duty free lunch, 4:45-3:30 2. 100% elementary split between two sites - 7.25 hour day plus 30 minute duty free lunch, 7:45-3:30, max caseload 28 3. 100% RSP at middle school, 6.75 hour day plus 30 minute duty free lunch, 8:15-3:30, max caseload 28 4. Two 100% SDC positions at middle school - 6.75 hour day plus 30 minute duty free lunch, 8:15-3:30, max caseload 16

Special Requirements:

MUST be CTC Mild/Mod Why Work With Spindle? $45-55/hr., depending on experience Weekly W-2 pay Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits 401k matching

California Requirements:

Active CA Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field Knowledge of IEP development and California compliance standards
