Lead Teacher - YogaSix Temecula (Part-Time)

Part-Time, Non-Exempt Lead. Inspire. Build Community. YogaSix believes everyone deserves the mind-body experience of yoga. Our modern approach combines movement, music, heat, energy, and connection to create an experience that is accessible, empowering, and fun. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher to help elevate the quality of instruction, coach and develop our teaching team, and shape the member experience at YogaSix Temecula. This is more than a teaching role—it is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants to influence culture, mentor instructors, and help build one of the premier yoga communities in the area. Position Overview The Lead Teacher partners closely with studio leadership to ensure exceptional class delivery, teacher development, schedule quality, and community engagement.
This role balances:
Teaching world-class classes Coaching and mentoring instructors Supporting onboarding and teacher development Helping maintain schedule quality and instructor coverage Building an engaged and connected studio culture Expected commitment: Teach approximately 5-6 classes per week Provide an additional 8-10 hours/week of leadership, coaching, and administrative support Schedule may flex based on business needs. What You'll DoTeach Exceptional Classes Deliver safe, engaging, and inspiring YogaSix classes Maintain approval across multiple YogaSix formats (minimum 3 preferred) Create a premium, welcoming member experience Follow YogaSix standards for music, lighting, pacing, sequencing, and room setup Arrive prepared and engage with members before and after class Maintain practice room and props to studio standards Lead Teacher Development Recruit, audition, onboard, and mentor instructors Observe classes and provide thoughtful, empowering feedback Coach teachers on sequencing, cueing, presence, member engagement, and format execution Support ongoing education and skill development Lead or assist with in-house trainings and workshops Help maintain consistency and teaching excellence across the roster Support Scheduling & Studio Success Partner with management on schedule planning and format balance Assist with substitute coordination and coverage Help identify growth opportunities and performance improvement plans Support instructor retention and team engagement Build Community Create authentic relationships with members Support studio events, workshops, and promotions Serve as a brand ambassador inside and outside the studio Help foster an inclusive and positive studio culture Administrative Leadership Attend required meetings and trainings Track coaching and development activities Maintain confidentiality and professionalism Provide operational support as needed What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
E-RYT 200
(Yoga Alliance) certification Current CPR certification Minimum 2+ years teaching experience Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading instructors Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable giving constructive feedback Professional, dependable, and organized Preferred Qualifications
RYT 500 / E-RYT 500
5+ Years teach experience Boutique fitness or multi-instructor team leadership experience Experience teaching multiple YogaSix formats Experience with schedule planning or instructor onboarding Success in This Role Looks Like Members consistently rave about class quality Teachers feel supported and continue improving Schedule coverage becomes proactive, not reactive New teachers ramp quickly and confidently Studio culture becomes stronger and more connected Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly leadership/admin pay Additional per-class teaching compensation Eligibility for performance-based incentives Complimentary studio membership, +1 Growth and leadership development opportunities Physical Requirements Ability to safely demonstrate and teach yoga in heated and non-heated environments, move throughout the room, assist students when appropriate, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
