Job Description

  • Special Education Teachers Needed - Southern California School Districts
  • Position Summary
  • The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, delivers high-quality instructional services to students with special needs in kindergarten through grade 12.
This role requires a strong commitment to collaborative planning and implementation of individualized student programs, including providing specialized instruction, academic support, and consultation with general education staff to promote student success.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred) + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations + Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred) + State Teacher Certifications (preferred): + Standard Elementary Teaching + Standard Secondary Teaching + Standard Special Teaching +
Endorsement:
Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred + Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR certification, if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray, if applicable + Current health certificate, as required by state or contract + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age
