The contract runs from August 6, 2026, to May 26, 2027, providing a set Monday-Friday schedule with 37.5 hours per week and the chance to start fresh in a dynamic educational setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree is required. Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification with appropriate endorsements: Early Childhood Special Ed Endorsement for Grades P3-2 Special Education Generalist, Educationally Handicapped, Trainable Child, Teacher Severe Needs, or relevant category based on caseload (Affective Needs, Autism, Cross Categorical, Functional Academics, Severe Needs/Life Skills). Proven experience working in a school district with students on the autism spectrum. Must fulfill district requirements for background checks and fingerprinting. Flexibility to teach various caseloads; final assignments will be communicated as classrooms are organized.
Role and Responsibilities:
Design and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs. Deliver engaging instruction across diverse learning abilities. Collaborate with school staff, specialists, and families to ensure students receive comprehensive support. Track and report progress while maintaining meticulous documentation in compliance with district policies. Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment to help each student succeed. Pay for this contract position ranges from $45 to $57 per hour, depending on years of prior school experience.
