Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary students with special needs in a contract position for the 2026-27 school year. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Special Education Teacher eager to make a meaningful difference within a small, manageable caseload of 3-4 students. Beginning August 7, 2026, the assignment runs through May 31, 2027, with the chance to continue providing select services during the summer months at a reduced schedule—perfect for those seeking both structure and flexibility. What you'll need to be successful: Valid Special Education Teacher certification Previous experience supporting elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs Expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, related service providers, and classroom teams Adaptability to tailor instruction and interventions for each unique learner Key responsibilities: Deliver engaging special education instruction tailored to elementary students' goals Coordinate and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance and effective documentation Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth Consult and collaborate regularly with general education teachers and support staff Provide ongoing support and advocacy for students and their families throughout the academic year and into the summer session This position features a consistent Monday through Thursday schedule from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, totaling 32 hours each week. You'll work in a supportive school setting, enjoy a balanced workload, and have the opportunity for professional fulfillment in a focused, relationship-based capacity.
