Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact in education by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant Colorado elementary school setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work onsite in a collaborative environment dedicated to helping students succeed.
Key Qualifications:
Active or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required (must provide copy with application; candidates without a TEE only) Bilingual proficiency in Spanish mandatory At least one year of classroom teaching experience, with a preference for special education backgrounds Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and function as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction and targeted interventions to students on a resource caseload at the elementary level Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines Collaborate with general education faculty, staff, and families to create a supportive learning environment and ensure student needs are met Track progress, document services, and participate in meetings as required Support students in both academic and social-emotional growth This full-time, onsite position is scheduled from August 4, 2026, to May 21, 2027, providing an excellent opportunity to grow your experience in a supportive school community.
