Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary learners in a vibrant educational community near Brighton, CO. This contract position is ideal for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to make a meaningful impact throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. You'll work full-time, collaborating with colleagues and engaging students with diverse learning needs through an onsite resource caseload at the elementary level.
Desired Qualifications:
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is essential for this role Minimum one year of classroom teaching experience in a special education setting Holds or is currently pursuing a valid CDE teaching license (cannot be a TEE); documentation required with application Demonstrated ability to thrive as a flexible, collaborative team member Strong communication skills, with a commitment to building positive relationships with students and fellow staff
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction as a resource teacher, addressing students' unique educational requirements Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Work closely with a multidisciplinary team—including general educators and support staff—to ensure student progress Adapt instructional strategies and create an inclusive classroom environment Maintain accurate records and consistent communication with families, staff, and administrators This position offers the satisfaction of contributing directly to students' growth in a supportive, dynamic environment.
