SUMMARY :
Responsible for instructing students in varying ages between 1st-6th. Instruct students in social studies, language arts, and at times assist in a variety of other enrichment classes. Create and implement lesson plans and instructional resources for use in the classroom. Work with other staff members, demonstrating positive and professional interactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional, project based, hands-on activities that correlate with class objectives and goals. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students. Willingness and ability to travel with necessary instructional materials on a weekly basis. Should be flexible and able to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in. Collaborate with staff to provide quality and adaptive programming for all students. Attend (virtual and physical) and actively participate in all required staff meetings and professional development. Create and share lesson plans with administration and modify accordingly throughout the year. Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Communicate with parents as needed. Manage student behavior in the classroom by creating appropriate behavior strategies. Commitment to providing new and innovative learning experiences and classes. EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Bachelor's degree or higher Teacher license preferred, but not mandatory. Highly qualified credential will be required via college credits and having passed the Praxis
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EQUIPMENT
Must possess demonstrated skills in classroom and online implementation of best practices in instructional strategies and demonstrated success in working with learners. Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively and efficiently use technology for a variety of purposes, along with willingness to learn new technology. Ability to problem solve and work well with other employees. Willingness to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Willingness to be a contributing member of the school.
