Job Summary:

Requirements:

• Oregon Teaching Certificate
• Special Education Endorsement
• Teaching experience with students on the Autism Spectrum and conduct disorders
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed practices (CPI Certified)
• Experience building and revising the Special Education Master Schedule
• Holds First Aid/CPR card and Mini Bus and CPI certifications or willing to obtain by hire date

Preferred:

• Experience with ABA and STARR strategies

Additional Info:

• Understanding of structured literacy and mathematical scope and sequence
• Utilize technology/software packages in instruction & IEP development
• Employer will conduct a background check prior to employment

Duties:

• Teach elementary special education within self-contained classrooms
• Conduct IEP meetings and participate in collaborative meetings with staff, families, and outside agencies to provide individual student supports
• Train and manage support staff to deliver services to students

Hours:

Full time position

Compensation:

$44,325 to $94,608 with an excellent benefit package.
