Job Description

Job Summary Full-time High School special education teacher with a 1:20 student ratio in a mild-moderate school. This is a direct hire position with the school and includes full benefits and a 21.4% PERA contribution. Duties Design and deliver engaging, evidence-based lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum and with developmental delays. Develop, monitor, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Implement instructional modifications and behavioral management techniques to support student learning and social skills development. Integrate educational technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement across various subjects such as literacy, math, and communication skills. Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress, prepare detailed reports, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management practices that promote safety, respect, and active participation. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians through meetings and updates to ensure consistent support for each child's educational journey. Requirements Bachelors degree in Special Education AND Colorado teaching license for Special Education required
