Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments across assigned schools or programs. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and goals aligned with state standards and student needs. Conduct functional vision and learning media observations to inform accommodations and services. Adapt curriculum, materials, and assessments, including Braille, large print, and tactile graphics. Collaborate with general and special education staff, related service providers, and families. Train teachers, staff, and families on accommodations, assistive technology, and access strategies. Document progress, maintain compliance with timelines, and participate in IEP and team meetings. Coordinate with orientation and mobility specialists and other vision-related providers as needed.
