education curriculum Teaching science Proofreading Classroom behavior management Teaching K-12 education instructional development Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and innovative RMSEL (Regional Multi-Sensory Education Lab) Genius Lab / STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Lab Teacher for grades K-6. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners through hands-on, experiential learning in a vibrant classroom environment. As a key member of our educational team, you will foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking by integrating cutting-edge learning technologies and tailored curricula. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help cultivate a love of STEM and arts education while supporting diverse student needs, including those with special education requirements and early childhood development considerations. This paid position is designed to empower students to explore their potential and develop essential skills for future success. Responsibilities Designing integrated K-6 Genius Lab curriculum that creates authentic products, prototypes, and solutions demonstrating student understanding of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics concepts in alignment with Colorado Academic Standards Implementing best instructional practices that reflect Expeditionary Learning Core Practices, including project-based learning, inquiry, collaboration, critique, and revision Facilitating hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, innovation, design thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of academic content Developing proactive relationships with families, including supplying regular student progress information to enhance family partnerships Developing structures that foster student reflection, perseverance, collaboration, and innovative thinking throughout the design and engineering process Assessing student learning regularly, and then using data collected to refine and differentiate instruction Maintaining and organizing Genius Lab materials, tools, equipment, and technology to ensure safe and effective learning environments Collaborating with classroom teachers and specialists to integrate STEAM learning experiences across content areas and grade levels Participating in multi-day and overnight fieldwork with students and staff Committing to and actively participating in professional development and coaching cycles Designing curriculum and instructional practices that reflect Expeditionary Core Practices and meet Colorado Academic Standards. Teach (4) Instructional Blocks of 75 minutes in duration daily Monitor the performance and progress of students and communicate this information with parents to enhance family partnerships Assess student learning regularly, and then use data collected to refine and differentiate instruction. Planning and participating in multi-day and overnight fieldwork with students and staff twice per year; once in the fall and again in the spring. Committing to and actively participating in professional development and coaching cycles. Requirements Proven classroom experience working with children across diverse age groups in early childhood or elementary settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management techniques. Experience developing curriculum content that incorporates STEM concepts, library services integration, and early intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, parents, and administration. Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs or behavioral challenges; experience working with individuals with autism is a plus. Demonstrated skills in proofreading, lesson planning, writing skills, and curriculum development to ensure high-quality instructional delivery.
Pay:
$24,400.00 - $46,100.00 per year
