Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher in the Denver, CO area! Multiple opportunities are available for educators passionate about creating supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environments. Full-time contract openings span elementary, middle, and high school settings—each offering unique roles and caseloads tailored to your strengths and interests. Bring your expertise and enthusiasm to specialized classrooms, including SSN/Autism center programs (K-4, 5-8), AN center programs (K-4), as well as mild/moderate needs in both middle and alternative high school settings. Here, you'll collaborate with dedicated teams and truly impact student growth and development.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid CDE license in Colorado Experience in special education preferred; new graduates with proper licensure are welcome Strong communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills Ability to differentiate instruction and manage diverse classrooms Comfortable working with elementary, middle, or high school students in various program settings
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Develop, implement, and revise IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams Create supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom environments Employ evidence-based strategies to foster academic and social-emotional growth Participate in team meetings, data collection, and progress monitoring Advocate for student needs and maintain open communication with all stakeholders This contract role offers impactful work in a dynamic atmosphere with students who benefit from your insight, encouragement, and advocacy.
