Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting, preferred Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and tracking progress Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and staff Ability to create engaging, adaptive lesson plans that address diverse learning needs Collaborative mindset and commitment to best practices in special education
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of 12 students with varying exceptionalities, providing tailored instruction and support as needed Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals Address students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral goals Work closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure successful inclusion and support Utilize data and ongoing assessment to monitor and report student progress Maintain all necessary documentation and adhere to district and state requirements Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required This position offers consistent hours from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, supporting work-life balance while making a measurable difference in students' lives.
